Skookumchuck Charters

Late August/Early September

Long time friends Ken Teter from way down in Georgia and Tim Smith from way up in Nome join Cindy and Capt'n Ted for the final cruise of the season.

Ken and I met nearly 30 years ago commercially fishing for salmon in the Bering Sea.  Tim and I met in Nome nearly that long ago as well.  All are pilots (Tim still flies), and all of us have had our share of "mishaps."  In Alaska they call them "fender benders."  Both of these guys were on board Skookumchuck at separate times in the early years.  It was great to have them on board together!

Capt'n Ted and Ken on a blustery sailing day.
Now here's a first!
At least everyone wasn't in their PJs!
But close!

He who hesitates is lost when it comes time to posing for a fish photo.  Sorry Tim.

Another halibut cleaning lesson.
Capt'n Ted and Tim sorting crabs.
Cindy teaches "the boys" the finer points of cleaning shrimp.
Under sail in tight quarters!

What better way to close down the season?  Three guys (all from different walks in life) enjoying a common love.  It was a grand trip guys!
