Skookumchuck Charters

High School classmate George Mitru joins Skookumchuck for a June cruise. Accompanied by his cousin John Hank and friend Jim Young, Cindy and I have a grand time showing them around our part of the world.

George and Ted

Forty seven years later, George and Ted on the bow of Skookumchuck.

"Dr. Jim", George and John with their take home kings.

Cindy and the guys

Cindy with the guys seeking some shade! Are we still talking about Alaska here?

A cool rainforest with no rain.  Photos opportunities for all.

Nice afternoon

A nice easy afternoon on deck.

Some took it easier than others!

Relaxing

Crabs

A half tub of crabs ought to be enough don't you think George?

Certainly enough for a feast and then some.  Bibs for all! Bibs for all

Last man

Last man leaving the table wins!

A bit of trail lore from Captn' Ted.  The critter that left this pile was also the last one at the table.

Where's the bear

There's a bear out there somewhere John.

Might have to settle for a whale. Settle for a whale

Time to say good-bye

Time to say farewell.  George went on to Pennsylvania a week later and showed the slides of our cruise to about 40 of our classmates.  He is now the eighth person from our high school that has now made it on board Skookumchuck.   Thanks George!
