Megan and Kelly Andrews - Newlyweds

It was a long time in the planning stage. Coordinating a cruise to coincide with your wedding day with 3000 miles between the two events is no small feat but Megan Boyer and Kelly Andrews pulled it off and joined Skookumchuck in early August as Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Andrews only a day and a few hours into their marriage. They wanted to see whales and glaciers and eat lots of seafood. Cindy Plaza joined us on that trip to take care of the meals and we were off almost as soon as the newlyweds feet touched down in Sitka. What a time we had! Every single day seemed to end with the same phrase. "This was the most incredible day ever!" And they were!

Megan and Kelly always had a smile for the camera and a hug for each other.

Kelly landed supper

OK Kelly, now that supper is assured. Lets go see some whales!

We didn't have long to wait and we weren't the only ones looking. One of the whale watching boats out of Sitka spied them too. And we hadn't even gotten out of Sitka Sound at this point. That's Cindy
looking on. It was everyone's first time on a big sailboat.

Here's the "crew" cleaning a mess of shrimp.

And here's the honeymooners taking a walk in the rainforest without any rain!

An incredible day

On the same walk. It was an incredible day! "The most incredible
day ever!"

Supper was assured once again. Good going Megan!

Most incredible day

A bit overcast

A bit overcast but we made it up to the glaciers. Unfortunately, no one was able to pick out any goats on the rocky cliffs on the way in. It was so wild and beautiful here, we found a place to anchor and
stayed the night.

Waterfall

Of course, everyone has to have their picture
taken near a waterfall!

Cindy showing off for the camera! She took to the sailing so well, she is becoming a permanent part of future cruises. Cindy showing off for the camera

A "Cindy" bouquet

A "Cindy bouquet" especially for the newly weds.

And finally, a toast to each other. "May your marriage be the most incredible ever!"

A toast to the newlyweds

NOTE : We had one tough day of cruising with high winds and everything that
goes along with it. And Megan (a little under the weather because of the ride),
whose job in real life is to give whale watching tours out of San Diego, had
never before seen a breaching whale. But, in spite of everything and on a day
when you would least expect it, her wish came true. I'm not sure how many humpbacks came clear out of the water before she exclaimed once more, "This is the most incredible day ever!" Good for you Megan.
