Skookumchuck Charters

Pete Ninnemann returned in 2007 for his second cruise aboard Skookumchuck. As promised, this time he brought with him his wife Sharon as well as good friends Bill and Karen Orgas.

Pete and friends From left to right, Karen, Bill, Pete, and Sharon as well as first mate Cindy who kept them raving about all the food she served.

Not a bad haul Not a bad haul Pete!

And once again, the winner and grand champion of crab feasting. Although last time on board he had to share the honors with good friend Paul. Champion of crab feasting

Halibut hard to come by OK Bill, so the halibut were harder to come by than usual. Good eating just the same!

Sharon didn't do so bad either. Especially the day she woke up from a nap and out fished everyone.

Hmmm! Good eating coming up very soon. We had lots of shrimp in our traps nearly every time we put them down. Good eating

Cleaning the fish Pete and Bill did the fish cleaning while the girls helped with the vacuum packing.

Bill taking a turn cranking the ice cream maker while Karen continues breaking glacier ice which makes it all possible.

Heading to the shallows Headed to the shallows to watch salmon spawn. No bears this time.

Hard to get a photo of a porpoise but they were there!

On our way The "little red boat" on our way to Tennekee and a soak in the warm springs.

All enjoyed the visit to Tennekee. Here's Cindy checking out the general store.

Out of water A sign on the pier at Tennekee. We had lots of glorious sunshine but we can't forget that Southeast Alaska is a rain forest.

A final salute to a very fine trip!
